concept of boat share – Our difference to other boat
share operations is that the vessel being offered has a
commercial licence to operate, therefore you can pre-purchase
your share of use which give you the benefit of low cost
boating for your personal use or operate as a business and
sell your share time for profit.
With NO ongoing monthly fees for berthing, maintenance, cleaning,
running cost etc, comparing to other offers this is feature
makes this offer outstanding.
The concept:
Share the use of a beautiful traditional timber built 50
foot sailing ketch. Built in Sydney Harbour. Lovingly maintained
and operated to the highest degree of profession by the
management, Skippers and staff of Casual Cruises, who operate
from the Sydney Fish Markets, Blackwattle Bay, Pyrmont..
The yacht is presently in full charter survey with ongoing
business.
The Offer: The following example is our “Silver”
package. Our Bronze and Gold options offer different
levels of time and cost packages. All come with easy payment
plans.
* 12 individual shared places at a price of $35,000-00 each.
(plus GST )
* For the above up front fee clients will be able to booked
the vessel for 12 x separate times per year for a period
of 5 years.
* Each time period will be equal to 1 x 8 hour period.
(or part thereof )
* Total time period for the package = 60 x 8 hour periods
over 5 years. Total of 480 hours.
The return on investment:
This vessel is currently booked commercially at an average
market rate of $350 to $400-00 per hour.
* Return on 5 year use at commercial market rate - 480
hours x $350-00 = $168-000.
Or broken down simply for return of investment only –
* 1st year use = 96 hours x $350-00 = $33,600-00
The vessel is legally registered as a commercial hire vessel,
payments can be received by the share client from other parties.
There is a potential to sell your time share on the vessel
and make $33,600-00 per year for a period of 5 years –
Total possible return = $33,600-00 x 5 years = $168,000-00.
The vessel also has a current liquor licence. Catering and
bar packages can also be sold on the day by the leaseholder
, further increasing potential profits to them direct.
For companies that hold regular corporate parties this would
be a very cost effective alternative to chartering a vessel.
Ongoing costs: There are no ongoing costs for maintenance,
upkeep, insurance etc of the vessel.
These costs will be covered under the work that the boat
already has with normal charter operations.
Usage on the day cost:
Note that the vessel will be legally require to have a
commercial grade Skipper and deckhand to operate the vessel.
The cost of labour on the day plus fuel usage will be charged
for.
Estimated cost per use =
· $40 per hour for Skipper
· $30 per hour for deck hand
· Fuel on the day approx $50 to $150 Depending on
engine use.

* Maximum bookings per month = 2. Restricted to 1 booking
during the months of November and December.
* Friday, Saturday, Sundays During November and December,
plus NYE and Public holiday harbour events are not available
to share client. These places are reserved for the normal / general
charter operation season which is required to create income
to keep the boat in full service / operation. Note that
these places may be booked by the share client at a fee of
50%
of the normal charter cost.
* The vessel is in commercial survey for sheltered waters
and will not be permitted to operate outside to open sea.
* All areas of Sydney Harbour & Pittwater (condition
apply for use in Pittwater) can be explored. Subject to
maritime rules or restrictions.
Bookings: · To be made via Casual Cruises Pty Ltd.
* Advance bookings can be made and are recommended and
subject to any other booking made by other share client or general
charter work booking.
* Casual Cruises will provide the licenced crew and cover
all aspect of labour hire / insurance. The fuel usage and
labour payment for each booked cruise will be charge by
Casual Cruises and paid to Casual Cruises Pty Ltd.
